McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation names 2023 board chair

The McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation has announced Sarah Jennings as its 2023 board chair. As chair, Jennings will support the foundation’s mission to help provide McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital with the resources needed to bring the best technology and physician-led solutions to the community. She will work closely with foundation staff, leadership and board members to offer guidance and work toward the foundation’s annual goals.

“We are ecstatic to have Sarah serve as our new board chair,” Lynn Griffor, vice president of the McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation, said. “Sarah has served on the foundation board for nearly eight years. During that time, she has been instrumental in helping the foundation reach its fundraising goals. She also has been a leader in building vital connections with our community and better positioning us to bring health care excellence to Greater Lansing.”

“We’re excited to see all the things we can accomplish for our hospital, patients and community over the next year with Sarah’s guidance and leadership,” Griffor added.

Jennings is a principal in Maner Costerisan’s Accounting and Outsourced Solutions department, Consulting division, where she leads the firm’s nonprofit team and focuses on organization strategic planning, organizational structure and process improvement as well as litigation support. Jennings often shares her expertise with colleagues and peers by speaking on industry-related topics including fraud (risk areas and prevention), financial oversight, board governance and ethics.

“I am looking forward to the role and continuing to help support the MGL Foundation team moving forward. We are integral in funding not only initiatives within the hospital but things that will improve the community as a whole,” Jennings said.

Outside of work, Jennings is dedicated to helping others and volunteers with numerous charitable organizations. She also is a member of various professional organizations and has been deeply involved in the ATHENA Leadership community for many years. Sarah is also currently serving on the Olivet College board of trustees.

Jennings is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner and certified association executive. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Jennings resides in St. Johns, Michigan with her husband, Russ, and their son, Kannon. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking and playing golf.
