2021 Jack Breslin Golf Classic Preview

The McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all the businesses, organizations, and individuals whose generosity has helped the Jack Breslin Golf Classic grow and thrive.

The outing’s 20th edition, which starts at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, is scheduled to include the highest-ever 304 golfers as 37 foursomes will play at Eagle Eye Golf Club and 39 groups of four will tee it up at Hawk Hollow Golf Course. It will come 10 months after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the annual May event to be postponed until July and led to fewer participants than normal.

“We are incredibly grateful for the show of support from the Greater Lansing community,” said Lynn Griffor, vice president of the Foundation. “The importance of hospitals has become crystal clear during this pandemic, and so has the compassion and dedication of the caregivers and support staff at McLaren Greater Lansing.”

This year’s event, which will be co-hosted by Michigan State University head football coach Mel Tucker and his wife JoJo, is expected to gross more than $210,000 in cash. The net proceeds will benefit the Foundation’s Campaign for Care, a $10 million fundraising effort that will provide philanthropic support for a new state-of-the-art hospital complex scheduled to open in March of next year.
